I am inspired by the octopuses’ versatility and 

adaptability as well as their curiosity for the world around them. By placing them within confined spaces and contrasting that with total freedom, I explore the ever-changing experience of life through these creatures and how we should embrace it. The paired forms each reflect the creature’s natural 

undulations of movement through the water, but they also express the 

octopus’ curiosity by showcasing them exploring different environments. The beauty and captivating nature of the octopus inspires me to create 

functional vessels that can be used for a variety of things. Like the octopus, I hope to remain adaptable and curious not only in my work but in life as well.
